Miracle on 34th Street
We’d be remiss if we didn’t start with this incredible festival happening right here in our own backyard.
The incredible lights and decorations that bring Hampden to life during Miracle on 34th Street are nothing short of spectacular—so much so that they get national attention year after year.
This holiday tradition started over 70 years ago and it still running strong, featuring crowd favorites like the hubcap tree or the bicycle wheel snowman.
German Christmas Village
If you’ve never been to an authentic German Christmas market, you’re missing out. But don’t worry. You can find one right here in the heart of Charm City! From now through Christmas Eve, you’ll find the German Christmas Village at the Inner Harbor, transforming the West Shore Park into a European wonderland.
Here, you’ll find a ton of vendors with arts and crafts from all over the world as well as an incredible Bavarian beer garden as well as tasty snacks and drinks like bratwurst, pretzels, Lebkuchen, and mulled wine.
Oh, don’t miss all the performances from local choirs, bands, and performers.
Christmas at Gaylord National
Gaylord National offers acres of twinkling lights and decorations for you to explore as well as hours of exciting holiday activities, shows, and events.
Here, you can enjoy holiday movies, go tubing down Snow Flow Mountain, jump into some Ice Bumper Cars, go ice skating, watch stage performances, and a whole lot more.
Kwanzaa Celebrations
Honor African heritage and rich African-American culture and traditions during the seven days of Kwanzaa between December 26 and January 1. You can find celebrations at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in Baltimore, the Wiley H. Bates Legacy Center, and virtually at the Banneker-Douglass Museum in Annapolis.
Candy Lane in Center Plaza
Between November 20 and December 23, stroll through Candy Lane, a larger-than-life candy-themed experience at Center Plaza. Packed with thousands of lights, seasonal entertainment, and some incredible installations—like 24-foot-tall ice cream cones and candy forest.
You’ll also find some incredible local vendors offering sugary and savory treats and will have the opportunity to visit Santa in The Sweetest Igloo.
A Christmas Carol
From now until December 23 at The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, you can catch a live performance of A Christmas Carol that puts a Charm City twist on Charles Dickens’s classic holiday tale, set in Baltimore’s 19th-century business district. Check online for showtimes and prices.
Inner Harbor Ice Rink
Lace up a pair of skates and hit the rink at Inner Harbor, located at the top of the Amphitheater overlooking the water. It’s open day and night and offers a calendar of special appearances and celebrations. Check online for all the details!
Zoo Lights at The Maryland Zoo
